Unlocked cell phones

Where do you use your cellphone the most?  Do you use it at home,in the car, at the office,or everywhere? No matter where you use them you can cut your bills drastically. Cell phone providers lock their cell phones so they can control how much you pay for service. They might give you the phone for free, or at a  discount price but then sign you to an overpriced contract for an extended period of time. If you paid for the phone I believe you should have the choice to shop around for the cheapest phone plan you need. After all, Wifi enabled phones allow you to make calls for free over the internet, why should you have to pay your provider extra to do that? Because he has locked the phone he gave or sold you! Only he can unlock it. The only way you can avoid all those extra data charges is to own your own unlocked cell phone. Also, you find that cellphone plans are much cheaper when you have your own phone. Why,because you can shop around check out different carriers nationwide. If you are serious about saving money and cutting your bills and at the same time getting the most out of what you pay for you might want to look into a unlocked cell phone. Prices start at $30 and go up to $1000 depending on what you need in a cell phone. Most of the newer smart phones are really mini computers, and with all the new mobile devices coming on the market do you really want a computer the size of a cell phone? Some cell phones are designed to use a Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) card, or microchip that stores subscriber data. The SIM card is issued by a carrier and provides cell service by activating any phone into which it is inserted. A locked phone, however, will only recognize a SIM card from a particular carrier. If the cell phone is unlocked, it will recognize a SIM card from any carrier. The "lock" is a software setting that keeps the cell phone "loyal" to one carrier.
